This is the home of the UUMS Alumni Association.
Welcome to the Unity Urban Ministerial School Alumni Association page!
The UUMSAA was birthed by UUMS Executive Director, Rev. Sandra Campbell as a final project for the 2017 UUMS graduates and interns. Since then, the AA has grown in membership and expanded in organization to create an Alumni Association that serves the Urban School, its students and its graduates throughout their classwork and their ministries.
The UUMS Alumni Association is open to all graduates of the Unity Urban Ministerial School. It is through the UUMSAA, that you can network with former classmates, stay involved in alumni affairs, and continue to support the continuation of the amazing work started by UUMS founder, Reverend Dr. Ruth Moseley
Our mission is simple: Unity Urban Ministerial School Alumni Association fosters the ongoing connection, communication, and support between students and graduates of Unity Urban Ministerial School so all may flourish in ministry.
Our vision is to lead the entire Unity movement into a new and dynamic era of growth and revitalization.
All while living up to the mandate given to us in Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the lord God is upon me, because the Lord has sent me to bring food news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners.”
As a member of the UUMS Alumni Association, you will have the opportunity to use your experience to mentor students currently going through the curriculum and help guide them through the L& O process and the application for ordination through Unity Worldwide Ministries.
You will also be able to submit articles for posting on the UUMS website, the UUMSAA Newsletter and have access to the UUMSAA Facebook page.
Students who are UUMS members in good standing will have voting privileges for UUMSAA concerns, committee appointments, or Board of Trustee nominations.
The universal law of giving and receiving is the foundation of our spiritual practice and progress. When we give back to that person, place or institution where we have received our spiritual food, we open up the windows of heaven to receive a blessing so great you will not be able to contain it! (Malachi 3:10)
As a member of the UUMS Alumni Association you can give back your time, talent and tithes to an institution that shares your values and is committed to the raising of consciousness and the creation of a world that works for everyone.
