Unity of Nashville, is seeking an Associate Minister /Youth Director.
This person may be an ordained minister, or not, but has significant experience.
This position will be primarily responsible for Youth & Family programs. As such they should be versed, or willing to master, the principles of Positive Youth Development and be experienced in Service Learning.
In addition they will support the senior minister, Rev John M McLean, in all areas of the church-life. This includes, but are not limited to, community service projects, adult education, special services, and small group ministries, and some teaching.
Qualifications: Training and experience (2 years+ preferred) in teaching and leading youth education (preferably spiritual), knowledge of New Thought/Unity teachings, and commitment to embodying these teachings. The qualified candidate is creative and is passionate about the possibilities of ministry. S/he a great ministerial and spiritual consciousness, with strong management, organization and administrative skills, and is a dynamic and engaging. They will also serve as a model of good communication, collaboration, conflict management, and team skills. They get the big picture, accept leadership, and thrive on accomplishment. Most importantly, they believe in the importance and power of intentional community.
Compensation: $35,000 plus health insurance.
