Words cannot begin to express the depths of my gratitude and pride at the absolutely MASTERFUL way with which the West Side Unity Church Water PEEPS collective, worked in seamless collaboration to pull off such a successful, initial public event on Sunday!
Namely, our “Whose Water? Our Water!” Water Webinar event held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 was a rousing success in every way!Ā From your youthful, vibrant and informed co-facilitation; to your thoughtful and creative design of a flyer (that we ALL shared via social media channels); to the rousing, informative and revolutionary keynote address from our resident Water Warrior: Monica Lewis-Patrick to the attendance of other young people, several of our own WSU Church members (Thank You: Brenda Simmons-Meeks, Rev. Carolyne Jeane-Rhodes and Linda V. Johnson)Ā and even the few who streamed our event LIVE via Facebook – CongratulationsĀ are indeed in order for our entire team! How blessed we are to be led in our efforts by a visionary pastor and leader in the form of Rev. Dr. JoAnn WatsonĀ and with my effortless Zoom coordination, data-driven documentation of our work thus far and desire to support of all of your efforts, to-date…we make one winning team to be reckoned with. Goooo Team! Woohoo.
Please know that a written summary report at month’s end could never sufficiently capture the depth of your commitment, drive, ingenuity and spiritual strength as a hard-working team so for that reason our video (attached for our collective benefit) stands as a living, breathing artifact of your ability to take this grant objective from theory to actualization! As such, there is NO written report due for the end of September and you will receive an email very soon with an updated Project Plan and our outlined goals, trainings and dates for the month of October.
