Carpe Diem!
This month we are focusing on the faculty of Imagination. As taught to the Fillmore’s by Emma Curtis Hopkins, known as the teacher of teachers of New Thought, the Imagination is one of the twelve faculties that are innate within every person. This particular faculty is represented by the Disciple, Nathaniel Bartholomew, the physical location between the eyebrows (the third eye), and the energy vibration light blue.
This month we can imagine the perfect outcomes of many celebrations–Father’s Day, Flag Day, Pride Month, graduations, weddings, vacations, and the annual Unity Convention (June 17-20) at Unity Village, Missouri. Like Mother’s Day in May when we honor the divine feminine within ourselves, Father’s Day is an opportunity for us to honor our divine masculine nature. Speaking of graduations, the Unity convention begins on Monday, June 17, with the ordination ceremony, when eight graduates of Unity Urban Ministerial School will receive their credentials alongside students from the other Unity paths. Our UUMS family extends its warmest congratulations to our newly ordained ministers: Dinorah Arias, Jeff Berry, Stephen Fleming, Anita Koch, Micah LaGrave, Mary Patton, Beci Rohkohl, and Lily Wong. Everything starts in the mind first and it is through their faculty of imagination that these amazing students achieved this milestone. Here’s some food for thought. What if today was your day–the most amazing day of your life so far? A day that would change everything for the better? What’s already good would become great. What’s already great would become amazing. And, what’s already amazing would become the stuff of legends. All you had to do to take advantage of the good, great, amazing, and legendary things about to happen for you was to treat everyone with a true and eager kindness, think mostly of those things that please you, take a leap of faith, and step into the world just a bit where you can meet, mingle, and fall in love with life itself. Imagine how much richer your life would be. In the words of William Arthur Ward, “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.” If there is something you want to accomplish, don’t hesitate. Carpe Diem! Seize the Day!!!
