Calling All Ministers – Active and Retired!
I Need Your Help! I am writing a book about Unity ministry – the blessings, the challenges, the disappointments, the hurts, the uplifts, the spiritual growth, and the wisdom – and just plain what it’s like to serve as a Unity Minister.
I have recently retired from full-time pulpit ministry leadership and have been reflecting on what my ministry experience was like and how I can use that to benefit other Ministers – those of us who are retired, those active now, and those in training. Through this reflection, I’ve developed a strong interest in hearing about other Unity Ministers’ experiences and what you’ve gained from them. The purpose of this book is to get a broad understanding of Unity ministry, both as a reflection on where we are now and as a foundation for considering where we are going. I want to base this study on interviews with as broad an array of Ministers as possible.
So, I need you! Everyone’s experience is valid, and everyone’s experience is important. All interviews will be conducted by me on Zoom. I assure you that all that you share will be completely confidential and will be used in the book in an anonymous, personally nonidentifiable manner. I will give you a list of the questions ahead of time for your prayer and reflection. I will also ask you to sign an Informed Consent noting that I have your permission to record the interview solely for my use in writing the book and that I will keep all that you share confidential and anonymous. Thank you in advance for considering allowing me to interview you and to include your experiences as a Unity Minister in my book. Please give me a call, text, or email and let me know of your interest in being interviewed for this project that will benefit Unity Ministers and our Unity Movement. And please pass this invitation along to any other Unity Ministers that you know.
