Rev. Gregory C. Guice (UUMS 2001), former UUMS board president, and Senior Minister at Detroit Unity Temple, has published a new book: The Courage to Conquer Fear – The Journey of an Awakened Heart: The Seven Spiritual Keys. The book is available at:
Rev. Guice, a native of Detroit, is a devoted husband and proud father of three daughters. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kentucky State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Center for Humanistic Studies in 1986. He was co-founder and director of “Be the Best That You Can Be,” a program for disadvantaged youth in the Detroit area. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including Ebony Magazine’s “Top Ten Teachers of the Year,” “Mason the Year,” and “Who’s Who in Black America.” He was inducted into the Martin Luther King Board of Preachers of Morehouse College and honored as “Michiganian of the Year” by the Detroit News. He was Senior Pastor of Unity Christ Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Unity of Lake Orion. Rev. Guice’s prescription for living is to “look for the good and to know the presence of God within.”
