The book, My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem, can be ordered through major book sellers, including Amazon.
The class is for anyone interested in learning about racialized trauma and the pathway to mending our hearts and bodies. It is a call to action for Americans to recognize that racism is not only about the head, but also about the body. Menakem, a trauma therapist, introduces an alternative view of what we can do to grow beyond our entrenched racialized divide through a step-by-step healing process based on the latest neuroscience and somatic healing methods. Participants will take a look at how the process aligns with writings on healing by Unity co-founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. Optional/recommended resources: Christian Healing, Jesus Christ Heals, and Myrtle Fillmores Healing Letters may be accessed free at https://www.truthunity.net (donations accepted).
