Revs. Sandra and Chase attended the annual Accrediting Commission International conference at the Wyndham Hotel in North Little Rock, Arkansas, March 26-28. This was an excellent networking opportunity with leaders from among the 300 ACI-accredited institutions. At the invitation of Dr. John Scheel, CEO, Rev. Sandra shared the history and curriculum of UUMS that resulted in several requests for more information about our asynchronous platform. In addition to the tips and tools for using AI, academic procedures, media, and marketing, there were drawings throughout the conference. Rev. Chase won the teachers’ certification program, which will be offered to a member of the UUMS faculty, and Rev. Sandra won a KJV Study Bible, which will be offered to a UUMS student or faculty member. For more details about the ACI conference, see…

Dr. Antony T. Mays opened the conference with a presentation on the  4 A’s to guide the actions of an institution: Audience – know who they are; Aim – have a vision; Approach – set goals; Anointing – be a servant leader. Dr. John F. Scheel provided an academic registrar’s handbook and presented tips on effective management of transcripts.  Matthew Martin of MADM Media + Marketing provided guidelines for implementing  to artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline workflows and support administrative and instructional efforts. Dr. Yves Abraham addressed the need for mental health programs in public schools. The knowledge gained from the ACI conference will be put to use in tweaking our UUMS.
